Description
jf Leathers markets high quality leather goods on eBay at an unbeatable price. We do not have any retail stores or wholesale any items to other retailers - so we can offer the most competitive prices on select items. This auction is for a Brown Italian Leather Rolling Duffle / Suitcase   About the Bag: Timeless and sporty, this trolley is made in Italy by Floto. It is made with Vecchio Brown Calf-Skin leather and khaki stitching. It will fit into the overhead compartment of larger jets but is too big for smaller jets and turbo props. Technically it is a couple of inches too big for carry-on. The formula used to find the maximum carry-on size for most airlines is as follows: Maximum Carry-on Size = 45 Linear Inches. Or, Length (in inches) + Width (in inches) + Depth (in inches) = 45 Inches. This bag is 50 linear inches - which is slightly larger - bit many customers have successfully carried it on without a problem. The interior of this bag is lined with rugged 100% Cotton/Denim so your clothes will always unpack smelling fresh. It also has an inside zip pocket for holding a passport and travel supplies. This suitcase was hand made in Tuscany using Italian polished calf-skin leather and old world craft methods. The result is a rugged yet supple leather duffle travel bag with unquestionable quality and durability NOT found in mass produced luggage.     About the Leather: Full grain Italian Calf-skin leather was used in the production of this bag. It was produced at a tannery in Tuscany using all natural vegetable oils. The leather is slightly thinner than a belting leather, but thicker than your standard luggage leather. It is strong enough for generations of wear and tear, but not too heavy or unwieldy. This is the same leather used by famous high end Italian luxe brands (all sourced from the same Italian tanneries) -- except this bag is not marked up 20 times! Leather comes in many different forms and styles. Choosing a leather bag that is made with the proper leather for its intended use is very important. We teamed up with Floto, the manufacturer of this bag, to analyze the traits of this leather and hopefully articulate its qualities in a way that is informative and easy to understand. The traits that make this the best leather for this bag are the Vegetable Dye used and European Finish. Vegetable Dye is a natural product that produces a vibrant color and is fade resistant. Unlike inferior leathers that are dyed with chemicals, diesel, or pigeon stool (yes, in some countries they actually use pigeon stool) - vegetable dye brings out the natural leather smell over time and is better for the environment than hybrid chemical dyes. Please see the chart below and the difference between Regular Finish and European Finish. Graphical analysis of Floto leather: Regular Finish vs. European Finish: This leather was coated with what is referred to in the industry as a "European Finish". A regular finish is a constant clear coat film that completely seals off the leather. A European Finish consists of microscopic particles that bond together and form the clear coat protection. This creates a leather that is softer to the touch and breaks in better over time, while at the same time offering adequate protection against stains.     About the Hardware: This bag was made with lifetime warrantee "antiqued" brass hardware. Any hardware malfunction is completely covered under the lifetime warrantee - no annoying registration required - simply send the bag back to us and it will be fixed.     About the Zippers: To date, Floto has never had to fix a broken zipper. Many people ask if the zipper is "metal" - these zippers consist of a metal zip pull on a nylon track. These are much better than a full metal zippers because they do not jam as easily and when they do they will recover after a couple of zip pulls. Metal teeth are prone to jamming and many times loose teeth in a tight jam. Also, over time, metal zip lines deteriorate and the teeth can fall off - when this happens you have to replace the whole zipper. These zippers are made to outlast the leather so you do not have to worry about replacing zippers. The zippers are also covered under the lifetime warrantee giving you peace of mind. Ask any shoe or bag repair guy and they will tell you the same thing - they fix more metal zippers than nylon zippers.     About the Production and Marketing: Unlike some of the bigger luxe brands, this bag was 100% made in Italy. No parts or production were outsourced to China. The philosophy of Floto is to make the best product possible without cutting corners and sell it to the consumer at a fair markup.     The Guarantee: This product is guartanteed for its natural life. Natural life is defined as normal use - in other words - if it is run over by a truck and damaged this would not be covered -- but, in a case like this we will work with you to repair it at a reasonable cost.     Trolley Features: Retail - $599 Handmade by Floto in Italy Vecchio Brown color 15"H x 11 "W x 24 "L Italian Polished Calf-Skin Leather Large Wheels for Generous Clearance Double Stitched Seams Reinforced Handles Detachable Shoulder Strap Stainless Steel Hardware 100% Cotton/Denim Lining 2 Large External Pockets Inside Zip Pocket Extended Zipper for Easy Packing Weight - 6.5 pounds           How much can you pack in this bag?
