Stay in my beautiful townhouse during your visit to Washington, DC for the historic inauguration of President-Elect Obama from Saturday January 17, 2009 – Wednesday January 21, 2009.My townhouse offers abundant space, tranquility and convenience, and available for auction is my guest room that sleeps 2 with a queen size bed. It has a private bath off to the side of the room and a closet and a dresser.   ** Please note that I will also be in the townhouse during your stay, but will be on a separate floor from you.   My townhouse will be like a bed and breakfast, so breakfast will be homecooked or continental style for you in the morning and you will have full access to the laundry room and main floor living area where there is a TV/DVD player, dining room, and kitchen. You are welcome to cook your own meals, go out for meals, or if you are going to be around, I will cook dinner for you both.    If you are flying in from out of town, I will provide airport pick-up from BWI (Baltimore Washington) Airport on the day you fly in. Depending on your flight out, I will provide airport transportation back to BWI Airport in the morning for your departure provided if it’s before 7:00 AM which is the check-out time from my townhouse as I have to work in the morning on Wednesday. (Please be aware of this check-out time prior to bidding on my auction as this time is FIRM for checkout, no exceptions).  My townhouse is located in Columbia, Maryland – just outside of Washington, DC and is a 35-40 minute drive to/from Washington, DC (depending on the traffic) and a 20 minute drive to/from Baltimore. My townhouse is also just 6 minutes from the MARC Dorsey train station or 15 Minutes from the BWI Marc/Amtrak Train Station! From there it’s a relaxing 35-45 minute ride to beautiful Union Station in DC (depending on which Marc Train Station you depart out of). Once in Washington, DC use the excellent Metro to get to the National Mall and other attractions – I will provide you with tons of maps of the Washington, DC area for your convenience and MARC Train tickets along with providing you transportation to and from the MARC Train station if you want to go sightseeing in Washington, DC or I can call a car service/taxi at your expense.Within 7 days of winning my auction, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the room. Balance will be due prior to arrival. Payment must be in the form of a certified check or U.S. Post Office Money Order. I am a very easy-going, laid-back, outgoing and fun professional, who lives in a smoke free and pet free home. Smoking or pets will not be allowed in my townhouse, and a copy of your Driver’s License along with your guest’s Driver’s License who will be staying with you will be required prior to your arrival with your security deposit.
