Please contact us for further information. How will the group travel between destinations?Guests travel by motor coach between cities and between sites. What is the climate like?Although weather might vary, the area being traveled through in Germany generally has a moderate amount of rain. Average temperatures for Heidelberg, Rothenberg and Munich are as follows: June - August: Highs from the low to high 70s, lows in the low to high 50s. May and September - October: Highs from the mid 50s to high 60s, lows from the low 40s to low 50s. How strenuous are the activities? While this adventure is not considered physically strenuous, most days will include one or more hours of walking, often on uneven ground or cobblestone streets. A number of the destinations require climbing stairs. There is also a bike-riding activity on a gentle, paved path. Many days will have motor-coach trips between destinations that last one or more hours. While nearly all of the trip’s featured activities are relatively easy if examined separately, the full range of activities requires a moderate amount of stamina in order to get the most out of the vacation. What is the basis for the suggested minimum age for this trip? While Disney welcomes children ages 4 and up at the time of travel, it is recommended that children be at least 6 years old at the time of travel on the Once Upon a Fairytale trip. This is based on several factors, such as flight time and jet lag, time zone differences in the destination, duration of the vacation and amount of physical activity (e.g., walking, biking) involved. Because each child is different, please contact us to discuss whether this is the right trip for each child being considered. What types of meals are served during the Germany itinerary?Typically, breakfast is served buffet style. Dinners and lunches usually include fish, meat (pork is a common option at many meals), and pasta or rice entrées, soup and vegetables, along with desserts and fruit. While the menus have been planned to give a taste of typical German cuisine, they are always balanced with limited American fare. Some meals on this trip are served buffet style while others offer a limited-choice menu. Given the nature of group travel, á la carte menu choices are not available. Children-friendly choices are available at all meals. Menu items are subject to change due to the availability and seasonality of foods. In order to offer each Guest a bit of time to enjoy meals amongst themselves, there are some meals that are not included in the itinerary. These meals have been planned in towns or cities where there are plenty of options available. For questions or concerns about dining at any time during the vacation, the Adventure Guides will be happy to assist. Can special dietary needs be accommodated?Adventures by Disney can accommodate some special dietary needs at no additional charge. Unfortunately, some special dietary needs requested may not be able to be accommodated. Please contact us in advance to advise of special needs prior to departure. Is alcohol included?Alcoholic beverages are typically not included with scheduled meals, however, they may be purchased at the Guests own expense. Is this itinerary appropriate for travelers with special needs? Please note that this vacation includes activities that present certain challenges to Guests with special needs. It is strongly recommended that persons requiring assistance be accompanied by a companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing assistance. Neither Adventures by Disney nor its suppliers may physically lift or assist Guests onto transportation vehicles. Please contact us to discuss specific needs. What is the language and currency of Germany? While the primary language of Germany is German, many Germans speak English. The unit of currency in Germany is the Euro (EUR). U.S. dollars are not accepted at hotels, shops or restaurants, but ATM machines are available in most places along the adventure to obtain cash in Euros. Most hotels and restaurants accept major credit cards or single-use debit cards. Adventure Guides can help with any currency issues or language barriers. Are tips included? On Your Own Dining Gratuities: When eating at a restaurant, a gratuity is usually included in the bill. However, Guests who feel they have received exceptional service, may leave an additional gratuity. Many choose to simply “round up.” Adventure Guide Gratuities: Gratuities for Adventures Guides are not included. Please feel free to check “my world” My feedback is at 100% and nothing less! My reviews from clients! My family had been to Disney World twice; I did all the very detailedplanning myself and we had a really wonderful time on both trips. Wedecided to take our latest trip about 8 weeks prior to going and I was looking for a really good deal. I checked on ebay as a last resort andsaw Angie's ad. I decided to give her a call but didn't really think shecould do any better than I could on my own. Well, after much talking and checking out rates for us, I discovered that, not only could she do a LOT better than I could, it was considerably less time-consuming and stressful! She did a great job of offering suggestions, making reservations at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and all the restaurants, and helping with all my questions about the Dining Plan and Magical Express. She spent a considerable amount of time looking up rates and different resorts to accomodate our budget. With her help, we were able to purchase an additional 2 days on each park pass for a very small amount and enjoy the parks on the both the day we arrived and the day we left - something Inever could have done on my own. She handled all my requests and got all the information I needed to plan our trip. Plus, since she had visited WDW numerous times, she knew exactly what she was talking about! I was very impressed with the fact that she gave me her cell phone number and the instructions to call if anything was needed while we were on vacation. What a relief to know that someone was there if plans went awry! Our trip was so memorable and I really appreciated everything she did to make it happen. We are already planning our next trip and I will definitely use Angie again. Molly C. Angie thank you so much for helping us with our Disney Vacation this past May. It was nice to know that when a promotion came out for the time we were going you were honest and re-booked and saved us over $500.00! Not many would do that. Thank you also for the special for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, Katie just loved it and she was so cute! She got so much attention and everybody wanted to know where she got it done. We caught the mouse bug and will use you again when we go again! Thanks so much, A 10 star travel agent! God Bless Detroit, Michigan WOW!!! WOW!! WOW!!! Angie helped us with our very first vacation to Disney world. I didn't know how good I had it till we talk to others in Disney and who they booked with. One person didn't even know about the dining her travel agent never mentioned it. Another had to book all her dining’s herself and she didn't get under the promotion like we did, her travel agent never mentioned a promotion. I am so thankful we can across Angie on ebay!! WOW is the service we got! We are planning our next vacation already and of course we are using the best travel agent for the job---ANGIE---!!! I consider her a friend and a great travel agent! Chicago, IL Thank you Angie! We had a wonderful time at Disney! We loved the care package after we first booked. It was nice for us to start planning and it had so much helpful info in there we didn't know and we have been to Disney twice before. On Annie's Birthday we had a nice surprise in our room for her, Thank you for letting them know so we could have something special for her, again we didn't know you could do this We will 100% use you on our next vacation to Disney which will hopefully be in May of 2008! I have recommended you to all my friends! I am glad to have found a great deal on Disney and a great friend, I have enjoyed talking with you! Thank you again! New York, New York She took care of everything for me. Fantastic! Thanks! Personal service +10, will book with again! Great Bend, Kansas She booked the room and tickets, helped with flights, and mailed a lot of helpful guides and suggestions. Awesome, we had a great time, and can’t wait to go back! Very satified! Thanks so much Angie! Ledanon, Oregon Angie went well beyond what I expected for a travel agent. From our very first conversation, she treated me like a friend & gave me her honest opinions on Disney. She was friendly, informative, helpful & a joy to work with. She sent us a cute note right after we booked that I will be using in our Disney scrapbook. She went the extra mile to make sure that all the resturants knew that it was our son Luke's bday & she even made sure that balloons were delivered on his bday to our room (& she had to call to check on this numerous times). I have since reccomended her to a friend who may be going to Disney in the near future & I would definately call her again for our next vacation. Angie exceeded my expectations & I would highly reccomend her to others.
