Hello - Hope you're well. I am selling my grandmother's set of vintage Louis Vuitton luggage - 3 different sizes that are stackable, in fabulous condition (according to a few local Manhattan antique and interior design boutique firms). I formerly relayed "mint" condition, but wanted to revise, as a few inquirers all interpreted "mint" differently. I am uploading new pictures tomorrow (11/17), as these are quite unclear and misleading - the cases appear in worse condition than they actually are (bad for me!). I will also include photos of the authenticity labels, as requested by some users, as I want to ensure potential buyers are comfortable. Ultimately, I am sad to part with them. But unfortunately, in these times, it's more important that I sell these so that I can focus the proceeds on more important family health issues we're dealing with. As you'll see in the picture, I currently have the 3 wooden construction cases stacked nicely next to a secretary desk in our foyer. So they're not only fit for travel, but also an impressive decorative focus (also wonderful for a side table next to a sofa (and, frankly, they're so nice that I'd really recommend keeping them to serve as both a wonderful piece of furniture/decor, as well as storage - vs. knocking them around while traveling). The pieces are absolutely authentic. My grandmother purchased them in Paris, I believe, in the late 70's/early 80's (I was just born). Each has the authenticity label inside, and the cases together are worth a combined ~$16.5K. I've arrived at that figure by inquiring with the store, at interior design firms who've sold similar pieces to clients, and at multiple antique/vintage decor and consignment firms around Manhattan who've also dealt in similar pieces. Unfortunately, I understand the market is tough and that people aren't splurging on luxury goods right now. So I'm looking to set the initial auction price for the 3 at $10K. I do understand that I'm taking a risk going below market value. I had a buyer on the West Coast who pulled out at the last moment on a very lucky price of almost $17K, which was the worst. But I'm willing to sell for lower - again, given family circumstances right now, I need to take the risk. The sizes are as follows: smallest case - 27.5 x 18.75 x 7 middle case - 27.75 x 18.5 x 9 largest case - 31.5 x 21 x 10 Finally, the sticker you see on the largest case (the bottom of the stack), is part of an old British Airways sticker that's been removed during polishing (so they're even cleaner than my iPhone cam shows).
